Swachh Survekshan Grameen launched in Wokha

Wokha, September 18 (MExN): The department of PHED Wokha division held the launching programme of Swachh Survekshan Grameen (SSG) 2019 at Lotha Eloe Hoho Conference Hall, Wokha on September 18.

A DIPR report stated that the programme was launched by SDO PHED, Bhandari, Er Hukato K Shohe. Er Limathung Odyuo highlighted on the aims and objectives of the programme.

EAC Wokha, Arhomo Yanthan while exhorting the gathering urged the people to adopt clean and hygienic lifestyle which should include keeping the surrounding and community clean and not just the individual household.

He also appealed to the gathering to not just address the problem but do their part towards achieving a clean district. In order to become a plastic free district, every household should avoid the use of plastic products and find alternative means to make plastic free Nagaland, he added.

Executive Engineer, PHED Wokha, Er Imnazulu urged the mass practice segregation of waste and proper disposal of water in order to avoid unnecessary pollution. Vote of thanks was proposed by SDO PHED Wokha, Er Beto Jimo.
