Recreational facilities for drivers in school education directorate soon

A two-day in-house training cum interactive session for drivers and grade –IV staffs of the Directorate of School Education got underway here today.  

Addressing the drivers, School Education director Wonthungo Tsopoe said the directorate is all set to extend recreational facilities for drivers within the office premises.  

Further, he stated that the process of assigning head driver will be done on the basis of seniority cum merit henceforth and asked the drivers to be sincere and committed in their duties.  

The director also said regularization of drivers and scale will henceforth be taken on the ground of one’s sincerity and allegiance to duty. Asking them to be punctual, Tsopoe called upon them to always stay alert and perform their duties with utmost sincerity.  

Meanwhile, Additional Director Razouseyi Vese said the in-house training for officers and ministerial staff levels has already completed. The idea behind the in-house training in the directorate is to enable the employees to be acquainted with their duties and responsibilities, thereby instill efficiency in their performance and serve the public in the most excellent way, he added.  

The resource persons of the programme are G. Kevishe, retired Additional Secretary to the Government of Nagaland and consultant Education Department and Dr. Zavise Rume, Associate Professor, SCERT Nagaland. They talked on leave rules, attendance, pension rules, office etiquettes and soft skills today. The training will conclude on November 15.
