Wokha, May 14 (MExN): A one day training on sugarcane cultivation was organized by District Agriculture Officer’s (DAO) office, Wokha at Nsemo Yanthan’s sugarcane farm in Humtso village on May 12. It was conducted under Sustainable Development of Sugarcane Based Cropping System (SUBACS). A press release from C Peter Yanthan, DAO, Wokha informed that Nzanbemo T Erui as resource person elaborated on the benefits, importance and economical aspects of cultivating sugarcane to the farmers. He also gave detailed explanation about the package of practices of sugarcane cultivation. O. Eyingo Tungoe (AO) chaired the programme, while Randanbemo Murry, AFA pronounced the vote of thanks. Altogether, 20 beneficiaries attended the training.
