A book titled “Aotsür Jenmung” published by the Watsü Mungdang was formally released here today at MMC Conference Hall by the first president of the apex Ao women’s organization, Temsüsola in the presence of Ao Senden leaders, Ao Kaketshir Mungdang officials and other invitees.
The book has a compilation of 8 chapters and is an outcome of a resolution that was passed by the Watsü Mungdang during its 18th general conference in the year 2011.
The book, written in the Ao vernacular, chiefly delves into subjects like the rights, status and role of women in Ao society, women in the indigenous folk lore, landmark achievements made by Ao women, and prospects of Ao women in the future. Priced at Rs.400 a piece, the book will be available for interested buyers at the Watsü Mungdang office on Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays during office hours.
