Satakha, January 18 (MExN): With the objective to cater to the needs of the local population, the 111 Bn BSF organized Civic Action Programme at Satakha and distributed sports items, solar lights panel, plants and water storage tanks to the villagers of Kivikhu, Vishepu, Hoishe, Sukhai, Ghukhei and Satakha town on January 18.
A press release from the 111 Bn BSF stated that apart from its mandate of “providing security to the local population,” it organizes all the year round events to improve and uplift the lives of people living in “Area of Responsibility of the Battalion.”
“111 Bn BSF shares very cordial and friendly relations with locals and has always risen to the occasion by providing medical assistance, masks/sanitizers, ration and other necessary items during Covid-19 pandemic. 111 Bn BSF also conducts pre-recruitment training of eligible youths in order to help them to pass different recruitment tests conducted by various CAPFs/other Forces,” it stated.
The release added that through regular interactions and visit on ground, BSF tries to identify weaker and vulnerable areas where development is required. After due deliberation, some key areas are identified where BSF can pitch in and assist the local population, it added.
