Kohima, March 5 (MExN): The 12-day Transformation Crusade in Kohima, which started on February 24, continues to draw thousands of worshippers every day, according to a press release received here.
On March 3, Rev. Neivotso Neikha, Mission Director, Northeast India, CRC was the speaker. Rev. Neivotso said that everyone needs a transformation today and that “we must not look to the idols of the world but to Jesus Christ.” Citing James 4:4, he exhorted the congregation that whoever is in friendship with the world needs deliverance, the press release informed.
Stressing that whatever one needs will be met if one seeks His kingdom and righteousness first, he called upon everyone to confess their sins and make oneself clean to receive. Further Rev. Neivotso said that the truth will be known and it will set “us” free, while reminding that the truth is the gospel and the gospel is Jesus “who came and died for us and rose again.” Meanwhile, he told the congregation that the future depends on their decision and that God has prepared a place for all who took the right decision.
In the afternoon, Sungkum Jamir spoke on how to deal with alcoholics. Stressing on understanding the alcoholics, the rightful approach, he said that reviving their faith in prayer and meditation will improve the conscious contact with God for their recovery. Meanwhile, on March 4, Rev. Zotuo Kiewhuo, Pastor, Koinonia Baptist Church, the speaker, asserted that today the society needs a man like Moses and Paul. Terming the crusade as an uncompromised crusade, he forewarned of the manifestation that may occur after the crusade ends “because of the exposing and much destruction in the realm of the dark.” In this, he exhorted the congregation to be equipped and render help.
Citing Colossians 3:23 (NKJV), he said all must do works for the Lord because there is a reward in Heaven for all of it. The attitude of “us” in doing good works, he stated, must be in tune with God as said in Deut.6:18 – “Do what is good and right in the sight of the Lord.” Rev. Zotuo added “we should not do to please man and one will receive reward if one has the right attitude towards God.”
On March 5, Speaker Rokopra Mekro, Asst. Pastor, Koinonia Baptist Church informed that the twelve day long crusade was organised to expose the “Devil’s machineries and expand the kingdom of God.” Mekro stated “we” can be “broken vessels” walking a life enslaved in depression, frustration and rejecting oneself, but God wants to redesign that broken life and for that one has to surrender to God. “God is our beautician therefore and we must allow him to beautify us...We are God’s treasure and special in His sight and can never be in rejection if we come to God,” he asserted.
Quoting from John 8:34, “Whosoever committed sin is a servant of sin,” he stated that in the obedience of the word of God there is freedom and there is joy when one comes closer to God. In order to be successful person in life, “we should pray, hear the word of God and have faith,” he added.
Earlier in the afternoon session, Neibalie Kiewhuo, Assistant Pastor, Koinonia Baptist Church shared on the topic ‘Spiritual nurture and growth’. Neibalie said lacking in the nurturing of sprit will lead to instability even if there is physical growth and that the word of God is the only way to nurture the spirit. Further, he added that the word of God, fellowship and prayer is the way of nurturing the spirit. Stating that growth comes from God, he called upon the people present to nurture and depend on God for the growth.
Meanwhile, the organising committee of the Transformation Crusade has invited everyone to attend the last day of the crusade at Kohima Local Ground on March 6 and receive the blessings of God.
