Ever since Rajinikanth starrer Kabali released on Friday, the movie has been aiming to break all the possible records ever made by previous huge hits including Sultan or even Bahubali. Rajinikanth’s Kabali has not one but twelve reasons to rejoice. The makers seems to be adamant on breaking all previous records held by all the big releases, be it Bollywood or Tollywood. Well, the records are not limited just to box office numbers, but the film has made its presence felt in other sectors as well, right from promotions to the number of screens the film has been screened. Check out the records that Kabali has already broken within three days of its release. Kabali beats Sultan’s collection Rajanikanth starrer Kabali is taking the box office on a spree. The film earned approximately Rs 48 crore on day 1 beating Salman Khan starrer Sultan’s collection which earned Rs 36.54 crore on its opening day. Though the movie has failed to generate great reviews, it’s second day collection were still very high. Kabali breaks Baahubali’s record SS Rajamouli’s Bahubali had managed to make around $1,382,076 from the premiere in the United States whereas Salman Khan’s Sultan made a collection of $786,194. WithKabali’s release, the movie has broken all previous records and generated a total sum of $ 1,925,379 which is simply superb. Kabali releases in the maximum number of screens overseas Kabali managed to broke Bahubali’s record of releasing the movie in maximum number of screens in the country. Baahubali was reportedly shown in 4000-4500 plus screens worldwide at the time of its release (July 10 2015) while Kabali released in 5000 plus screens worldwide. Highest opening day figures for any Tamil film worldwide Kabali makers have all possible reasons to rejoice. Rajinikanth’s latest movie has made nearly Rs 70 crore worldwide till beating the records set by Linga (37 crores) and I (34 crores) Highest opening day collection for any Rajinikanth starrer movie It has broken all the opening day records of any of the previous movies by Rajanikant like Linga ( Rs 37 crore) and Enthiran ( Rs 11.25 crore) Multi lingual release Baahubali released in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and Malayalam. It’s also slated to release in China on July 22. While Kabali will release in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and Malay. It will be the first Indian movie to release in Malay. Apart from this, the Rajinikanth starrer is expected to release in Chinese, Japanese, Thai and Indonesian as well. Highest opening day collection in other Southern states Kabali has been the first Tamil movie with the highest opening day collections in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana with Rs 9.5 crore and in Karnataka with Rs 5.10 crore. In Kerala too it has the highest ever opening day figures with Rs 3 crore. Trailer views The trailer of Baahubali managed to get over 1 crore views while Rajinikanth’s Kabali has generated over 2 crore views already. Promotional strategies The first time ever, a leading airline designed a plane with the Kabali poster on it. In fact, special flights are being organised from Bangalore to Chennai so that fans can catch the first day first show. And no other film has managed a feat like that. Not even Baahubali! Kabali’s budget The budget of Kabali is Rs 110 crore but the Rajinikanth-starrer has already raked in Rs 223 crore for its producer, Kalaipuli S Thanu, thanks to the fantastic response to theatrical rights. With these figures, Kabali has also breached Baahubali’s pre-release business of Rs 162 crore.
