Kohima | May 12 : The Faith Theological Seminary (FTS) Kohima observed its third convocation here today with Deputy Commissioner Kohima, Bei-u Angami as the chief guest and Rev. Moa Longchari as the guest speaker. Altogether 13 students, graduated from the seminary.
While congratulating the graduates, the Deputy Commissioner also shared three important thoughts, ‘decision, sacrifice and opportunity’ as they (graduates) open a new chapter of life and on completion of their course. He asserted that it is a crucial period to choose their path as many opinions and advice from villagers, church leaders may pour in or even parents may place them with different task.
“As human, everybody longs for a comfortable life, however to take the right decision you have to sacrifice the comfort life and the taste of your mouth”, he said. He urged the graduates to take the right decision and be prepared to sacrifice and grab the opportunity at the right time, adding that it may take time but opportunity will pass through their way.
Rev. Moa in his speech said there are many gospel peddlers and many people claim themselves as servant of God but they has no testimony to share, nothing to tell the people what god has done to them. He said “if you want to be a servant of God, be serious, in the presence of God Father the creator, God’s son Jesus, you have been sent you to sustain, therefore be serious”, said Rev. Moa
He also said that power, pride and fame may come across and but should know what to do first, “if you know what first thing you should do in life, nothing will distract you”, said Rev. Moa. He said without gospel, people are lost so consequently, to be realistic as we talk about heaven, future but we live as if there is no future, there is no heaven.
Rev. Moa called upon the graduates to be focused, be realistic and be serious in the ministry and to serve the Lord with all ‘your’ heart.
