154 Military General Hospital Zakhama conducts med camp

Dimapur, February 20 (MExN): The Military General Hospital for the Civil Fraternity of Kigwema village conducted a medical camp today. The free medical camp was organized under the aegis of Spear Corps and the Formidable Fifty Six Army formation, as part of the health-care activities, under the ongoing military civic action programme.
The venue of the medical camp was the Makhuma volleyball ground in Kigwema village. The aim of the medical camp conducted was to provide free medical check-up and treatment for various commonly occurring ailments, for the civil fraternity of Kigwema area, stated a press statement issued by PRO of Defence, Col RK Palta.
The note stated that Col TN Mukherjee, the Commanding Officer, 154 General Military Hospital, Zakhama, inaugurated the camp. Addressing the sizeable gathering at the inaugural function of the camp, Col Mukherjee stated that the 154 Military General Hospital, Zakhama has been serving the civil fraternity of Kigwema and the other villages in the region, for the last four decades approximately, providing comprehensive much needed health-care to their Naga brethren, and generating immense goodwill among all.
 The present medical camp is the latest in the series of such camps, to bring high quality health care and medical facilities to the doorstep of the civilian brethren, and would further contribute to re-enforcing the goodwill between the Army and the civilian fraternity of the region. He exhorted the civilian brethren to make optimum use of the facilities provided by the camp, the note stated.
Approximately 350 plus civilians availed of the Free Medical check-up and treatment services offered at the camp by Medical Team of 154 Military General Hospital, Zakhama comprising Maj Ranjeeta Angom Chanu, Capt Khushboo, the Nursing Officers of the Military Nursing Service and the Para-medical staff. The chairman of Kigwema village Sapuo, the 'gaon bura' and other village elders thanked the Army authorities for their thoughtful and caring gesture of organising the medical camp in Kigwema village, and the 154 Military General Hospital for conducting the same, for the welfare of the civilians of the area.
