Mokokchung, April 24 (MExN): The 1st U-20 Revenant Football Running Trophy organized by Moanungsang Memorial Sporting Club (MMSC) under the aegis of Revenanat FC, Mokokchung got underway at Imkongmeren Sports Complex, Mokokchung on April 24.
Jangmonger, Asst Director Food & Civil Supply, Mokokchung was the guest of honour at the inaugural programme. Jangmonger in his speech said that many people think of doing good things for the society but only leave it to their thought without executing it but the MMSC and Revenant FC has put their thoughts into action. He encouraged the young players participating in the tournament to have all round development and to be winners in their lives.
Dr Lanu Walling also delivered a brief exhortation at the inaugural programme. The trophy has a total of 16 teams participating and will conclude on April 27. This trophy is perhaps the first running trophy for U-20 players in Mokokchung.
With an aim to encourage and promote young players, the organizers have not charged at registration fee to all 16 participating teams.
