2 killed and 3 injured in Bhandari road accident

Morung Express News Dimapur | August 28   Two persons were killed and three others injured in a road accident at Bhandari town, Wokha on August 28. As per the police, the passengers were in a taxi (Tata Sumo) heading to Wokha town from Merapani when it skidded and rolled down a 300 feet drop off the road. The cause of the accident could not be ascertained.   It occurred near the Bhandari town police checkpost at around 10:30 am. The deceased included an 80 year-old man identified Renjamo Odyuo, who hailed from Serika village near Bhandari. The other was identified as Ganesh Giri, who hailed from Chandrapur in Assam. The driver of the taxi was also among the injured, whose identities could not be ascertained.   As per AIR Kohima, the deceased were declared “brought dead” by the Community Health Centre, Bhandari.
