Dimapur, March 9 (MExN): Two women from Nagaland have been presented the Stree Udyamita Samman (Women Achievers Award), 2016. Jemima Achumi and Bano Haralu were given the award with other women from North East during the closing function of Women for Women campaign held on March 6 at Shilpgram, Panjabari, Guwahati with Sarbananda Sonowal, Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, as chief guest.
According to a press release, Jemima Achumi was awarded in the category of Entrepreneurship and Bano Haralu in the category of Journalism.
The award function was organised by Gandhi Smriti & Darshan Samiti and Beti & Shiksha foundation along with IIE, Guwahati, where women achievers from across North East from varied fields were awarded based on their experiences and expertise.
