2 Naga women entrepreneurs receive Skill India commendation

Two women entrepreneurs from Nagaland were given citations from the Union Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship for professionalism on the occasion of International Women’s Day. A programme marking the day was held today in New Delhi with Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Minister Dr. Mahendra Nath Pandey inaugurating it, while women entrepreneurs from across the country joined in online.  

Lozano Humtsoe from Dimapur and Lipoksangla Longkumer from Mokokchung received ‘Certificate of Appreciation’ for “dedication, commitment and professionalism.” According to a source, they were among 25 Women Nano Entrepreneurs, trained under the PMKVY 2.0 scheme, who were recipients of the citations. 

As per the commendation certificate, Humtsoe was a skilled candidate of the Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship, trained in handicrafts; while, Longkumer was a skilled candidate of the Prime Minister’s Skill Development Programme (PMKVY), trained in beauty and wellness. 

As per a Press Information Bureau (PIB) release, Dr Pandey lauded women entrepreneurs from across the country for their contribution in skill development and becoming job givers from job seekers job and “achieving great success in their respective entrepreneur fields… and turning the tables from adversity to opportunity.”
