Phek, September 19 (MExN): 22 Assam Rifles under the aegis of Headquarters Inspector General Assam Rifles (North) carried out an interaction with school authorities, headmaster, teachers, parents and students of Bishop Abraham Memorial School in Phek on the school’s Parent’s Day, September 16.
Commandant of 22 Assam Rifles Colonel RK Vikram, who was the chief guest of the occasion, enlightened the students on the importance of the armed forces and gave a motivational talk to the students, said a press release from Lt Col Amitabh Sharma, PRO, HQ IGAR (North). He also assured the students of all possible help for entry into armed forces to NDA, IMA/OTA through SSB coaching and timely career counselling, it added.
Colonel RK Vikram’s interaction with the parents and school staff focused on the quality of education and the administrative issues to facilitate better educational & extracurricular facilities to the children. The Headmaster Father James also approached the Commandant to help in improving the condition of the school approach road, for which the Commandant assured all possible help to the school authorities, the release added.
