22 AR conduct medical camp

Phek, September 28 (MExN): 22 Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (N) conducted free medical camp at Government High School, Pokhungri village in Phek district on September 22. A specially constituted team under Assistant Commandant Balmuri Avanish, Assam Rifles Medical Officer of 22 Assam Rifles examined 91 people – 23 males, 47 females and 21 children, informed a press release from Assam Rifles. Medical check-up of 72 students of Government High School, Pokhungri and awareness lecture on HIV/AIDS and Swachh Bharat Abhiyan was also delivered to the students. Free medicines were provided to the ailing. Apart from the medical assistance, basic knowledge on epidemic diseases including precautions was also imparted, the release said.
