22nd ANCSU biennial general conference from today

Kohima, October 26 (MExN): The All Nagaland College Students Union (ANCSU) will be holding its 22nd Biennial General Conference from October 27-29 under the Theme ‘’Leadership & Social Responsibility’’ at St. Xavier College, Jalukie in Peren district.

Introductory session will take place on October 27 from 5: 00 PM onward with Nagaland’s power & parliamentary affairs minister KG Kenye as the introductory guest.

The conference will be a seminar oriented event which will involve, brainstorming sessions, seminar on Narcotic and Psychotropic Pharmaceutical products Regulations in Nagaland, substance  abuse, Bengal Eastern Frontier Regulation 1873 (ILP), HIV & AIDS and employment opportunities in Japan with participation of dignitaries and resource persons from different professions.

The ANCSU represents the entire college students’ community of the state; irrespective of region, color, caste, religion, serving equal opportunities and privileges to the college students.

The ANCSU is prepared to host 1000 delegates from 40 affiliated colleges, associate colleges and invitees from across the state to exhibit, ameliorate and express concerns for the welfare of the college students’ community and Nagas in General.

T.R Zeliang, Deputy Chief Minister, Planning & Transformation, National Highway, Temjen Imna Along, Minister, Tourism & Higher Education, Aotula T. Imchen. Commissioner of Police Dimapur, Hiazu Meru,, Deputy Commissioner Peren and Vilhousielie Kenguruse, Former President ANCSU will grace the conference.

Additionally, Senchumo (NSN) Lotha, Chairman ILRC, Boto Sema, Drugs Control Officer, Health & Family Welfare, Abou Mere, Director (KRIPA Foundation), Pauheugau Rangkau, District ICTC Supervisor, DISHA Peren, IDAN representative will be the resource persons.

Mteisung Heraang, President Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) and Adaube Hiekha Hau, President Zeliangrong Students’ Union Nagaland (ZSUN) will convey greetings.

On 29th October, Miss ANCSU is being organized for the students to showcase and exhibit their talents in the field of beauty pageant.

Veineinem Singson Haolai, (Finance Secy.BASN, Miss Nagaland 2014, Miss North East Jewel Queen 2016), Nikali K Shohe (Miss Nagaland 1st Runner Up 2024, Miss Sumi 2024) and  Linokali Achumi (Miss Earth Nagaland 2023) will be the official judges for Miss ANCSU 2025.

During the General Conference, ANCSU General Elections will be conducted for the tenure 2025-2027.

Union Assembly will also be held at the venue to deliberate on the confronting issues.
