Tangkhul Katamnao Saklong, Orami FC, Asufü Football Academy and  Khrietho FC Meriema today registered win on the concluding day of the 2nd round matches of the ongoing 24th NSF Martyrs’ Memorial Trophy 2024 (Lt. Kekuojalie Sachii and Lt. Vikhozo Yhoshii) at Indira Gandhi Stadium, Kohima under the theme “Goal for Peace,” organised by Angami Students’ Union.

Tangkhul Katamnao Saklong blanked Twenty XI FC 3-0 in the first match of the day.

Worchuipei Kashung opened the account for Tangkhul KS in the 45th minute.

Yarchihan Kasar and Aimso Chithung increased the score tally of the team by netting a goal each in the 56th and 57th minute respectively.

Yellow card was cautioned to Ramchan Satsang of Tangkhul KS in the 70th minute.

Yarchihan Kasar of Tangkhul KS bagged the Man of the Match title and honoured by Ramreichan, president, Tangkhul Katamnao Saklong.

Orami FC downed Re-United FC 1-0 in the second match.

The winning goal for Orami FC came through Okhlüzo Thaprü in the 51st minute.

Yellow card was cautioned to Keneisao Thenuo  of Re-united  FC and Vimeyiezo Lüho of Orami FC.

Kevime Vitsu of Orami FC was declared as the Man of the Match title and honoured by E. Krelo, former social & cultural secretary Naga Students’ Federation. 

Asufü Football Academy registered win over Kuki Students’ Organisation Nagaland (KSON) 3-1 in the third match.

Asufü Football Academy inked the first goal through Janjagin  Kuki in the 8th minute, who later netted his second goal for the team in the 72nd minute.

Bijoy Moktan fetched another goal for the team in the 60th minute. 

KSON earned a solitary goal after Korouhanba Laishram of Asufii Football Academy suffered own goal in the 10th minute.

Wlakhom Arunkumar of Asufü Football Academy was declared as the Man of the Match and honoured by Thepfüruya Theünuo, former education secretary of Angami Students’ Union and president Northern Angami Students’ Union. 

Khrietho FC Meriema defeated Kohima College, Kohima 6-5 via tie breaker in the last match of the day.

Bambambe of Kohima College Kohima was cautioned with yellow card.

Pausuingaulung Doson of Kohima College Kohima was declared as the Man of the Match and honoured by Viketouzo Yashü, Assembly Secretary of Angami Students’ Union.

Meanwhile, the 2nd round matches of the trophy ended today.
A total of 27 matches have been played from Day-1 till today with 124 total goals scored and 21 yellow cards.
Thongoumang (Delai FC) and VS Thotkadhar (Circle FC, Chedema) occupied the top scorers till date with 5 goals each, followed by Rhitso Mero (Sechü-Zubza FC), Kulse Zhotso (Jakhama Youth Organization), and Ginguhao (F4C) with 4 goals each.
Meanwhile, pre-quarter final matches will start from September 25.
The duration of the matches will be 90 minutes only (45+45) play with 10 minutes of lemon break.
In case of a tie, the match will be decided through the rule of tie-breaker, according to ASU.
