Mokokchung, August 22 (MExN): The Silver Jubilee edition of MDFA Trophy 2017 will be held from October 3 to October 21 at Imkongmeren Sports Complex, Mokokchung. As a special edition of the much awaited football trophy, the Mokokchung District Football Association (MDFA) has earmarked a total amount of Rs 3.6 Lakhs as prize money for different categories. The winner will be awarded Rs 2 Lakhs, plus trophy and certificates; the runner-up will be awarded Rs 100,000; losing semi-finalist teams – Rs 25,000 each and another Rs 10,000 to be distributed as individual prizes in five disciplines. In this regard, the MDFA Secretary, Imkongsunep and MDFA Tournament Secretary, Supongwati, through a press release, informed that only ‘registered club’ will be allowed to participate in the ensuing trophy. “Last date for registration and renewal of clubs and players transfer process is 31.8.17, thereafter registration/renewal will not be entertained,” informed the release. It also informed that ‘Registration Form’ will be available from September 4, 2017 at ‘3-Kit Photo Shop’, Alongmen Ward. The last date for submission of ‘tournament application form and players list complete in all form’ is September 23.
