Waxen CC vs Juggernauts match in progress at local ground, Wokha on January 12.
Wokha, January 12 (MExN): Lancer Cricket Club (CC) and Juggernauts registered wins in the ongoing 25th edition of Winter Cricket Challenge played at local ground, Wokha on Tuesday. With the win, both teams qualified in the quarter final of the tournament, the organizers informed.
In the first match, Mavericks CC ‘A’ won the toss against Lancer CC and elected to bat. The Mavericks were able to amass a target of 97 runs in 20 overs at 5.33 RPO. Lancer CC displayed an amazing batting performance and won the match by 4 wickets in just 17 overs.
Mhademo Shitiri who remained not out, scored 31 runs in 26 balls and was named the man of the match.
In the second match of the day, Waxen Cricket Club won the toss against Juggernauts and elected to bat first.
Waxen CC made 105 runs at 5.25 RPO in 20 overs. Mhachamo Mozhui made notable contribution in the second innings by smashing 2 sixes and helped Juggernauts win the match by 3 wickets in 19.3 overs. Thechamo Odyuo who took 2 wickets and delivered 15 inexpensive runs in 4 overs was named man of the match.
