Kohima, April 8 (MExN): The Chakhesang Wrestling Association (CWA) informed that the 2nd Naga Style Wrestling will be conducted in three weight categories of Below 65 kg, Below 74 kg and Below 86 kg (Men) at the forthcoming 37th PDSA (Phek District Sports Association) meet 2023.
The wrestling event will be managed by CWA on April 11 at Chozuba town.
Two wrestlers from each affiliated units will be allowed to participate.
Weight measurement shall be done on April 10 at Local Ground Chozuba Town from 4:00 PM onwards.
The prize money for each category has been set at Rs. 10,000, Rs. 8,000, Rs. 6000 and Rs. 4000 for first, second, third and fourth position respectively.
The wrestling event will be chaired by CWA vice president Vezohu Ruho while unfurling of the CWA flag will be done by Dr. Chekhwuveyi Khesoh, president, CRWA.
Welcome address will be delivered by Vekhozo, president CWA while Rudasa Ciirhah, Assistant Technical Secretary CWA will administer oath to the wrestlers.
Vekhriyi Chuzho, former NWA Champion & NWRB Member will be the chief referee.
Mentionably, the 37th PDSA meet will take place from April 11 to 15.
The meet will be hosted by Chozuba Area Sport Association (CASA).
Nagaland’s Power and Parliamentary Affairs minister KG Kenye will grace the occasion as the special guest while CAWD and Taxes advisor Kudecho Khamo will be the guest of honour. The Meet will feature track and field events, football, volleyball and basketball.
