31st All Nagaland Tennis Championship: Vilasier Khate wins men’s singles

Dimapur, February 6 (MExN): Vilasier Khate won the men’s singles title at the 31st All Nagaland Tennis Championship which concluded on February 6 while Thejaser Khate finished as the runner up in the men’s singles event.

The duo went on to win the men’s doubles title at the Championship after defeating runners up Vitsizolie Nagi and Zhaputso Khate.

26 players participated in the three day tournament which was organized and sponsored by the Nagaland Tennis Association (NLTA) at Chavino Memorial Tennis Complex, Kuda Village in Dimapur from February 4 to 6.

In the closing program Apok Jamir, President, NLTA and Guest of Honor, Col (Rtd) Mridul Barkakoti in their speeches, congratulated all the players and the tennis fraternity in Nagaland for their efforts in promoting the sport in the region.
