350 benefit from free medical camp by KROS College

Kohima, August 13 (MExN): More than 350 people have benefited from a free medical camp organized by Health Committee, KROS College in collaboration with the National Tobacco Control Programme (NTCP). 

The camp targeted residents of Lerie and Lerie Chazu areas with an aim to create greater understanding about modern lifestyle diseases and fitness. The free initiative, held at KROS College Campus, featured doctors from various clinic and healthcare professionals from PHC.  

The health camp initiative is yet another endeavor to play an active and meaningful role in the community and create better understanding of chronic and lifestyle-related diseases among the residents, stated a press release from KROS College.  

Earlier in the inaugural programme, Keliihol Tase, Lecturer i/c Health Committee, KROS College chaired the programme, Dr. Arenla Walling, District Nodal Officer, NTCP gave PowerPoint presentation on causes and harmful effects of tobacco.
