36 attend heavy equipment operator training

Kohima, December 9 (MExN): In a first of its kind, the Department of Under Developed Areas (DUDA) in collaboration with Zynorique Initiatives organized a month long heavy construction equipment operator training under DUDA, UDAP 2016-17.  

36 people from the districts of Mon, Tuensang, Longleng and Kiphire took part in the training.  

DUDA Director, KS Anden Konyak addressing the valedictory function on December 8 said the department conducted the training of heavy construction equipment operator for the first time. He informed that the department also conducts training in different fields for eastern Nagaland, so that the people of the region become at par with rest of the districts in various fields.  

Anden asked the trainees to be humble, honest and hardworking so they can earn their livelihood after gaining knowledge through the training and will become successful entrepreneurs.  

Dr. Anungla Phom, Joint Director DUDA said that the department every year organizes training for the four districts of eastern Nagaland. DUDA, she maintained, is a people’s department and urged the people of the region to come forward with ideas and suggestions so all will work together for the betterment of eastern Nagaland.  

Team leaders of the three groups in their address said they benefited a lot from the one month training.  

Richard Belho, Chairman, Zynorique Initiatives lauded all trainees for attending the programme with discipline and dedication and also all those who helped to make the training a success.
