36 trainees clear Nagaland State level Volleyball Referee exam

The Nagaland State Level Volleyball Referee exam organized by the Mokokchung District Volleyball Association (MDVA) under the aegis of Nagaland Volleyball Association and the Department of Youth

Resources & Sports from September 12 to 15 at Multi-Sports Complex, Mokokchung concluded on September 15 with 36 trainees clearing the exam.

Ramesh Babu Vidyarthi, National Referee, Volleyball Federation of India (VFI) and All India Referee Examiner and Dr Harish Kumar Tiwari, certified FIVB Level – 1 Coach & Deputy Director of Sports, Nagaland University were the two resource persons who supervised and conducted the exam.

During the certificate distribution ceremony, brief speeches were given by the two resource persons, trainees, and Allen Imchen, Vice President, MDVA.  Tiameren Aier, Secretary, Nagaland Volleyball Association also spoke on the occasion.

Out of the total 37 trainees, 36 cleared the exam, with Merangnok Pongener scoring the highest among the trainees. The trainees were awarded the official NVA Referee code during the closing ceremony.

Out of the 37 trainees, there were 35 male trainees and 1 female trainee from Longleng District. 26 trainees were from Mokokchung District, 1 from Wokha, 6 from Tuensang, 2 from Longleng and 1 from Peren.
