Shamator, May 19 (DIPR): The 3rd Yimchunger Women Orgnization (YWO) General Conference was held at Chessore Village on May 19, with Advisor to Eastern Naga Women Organization, Naythei Pangyu as chief guest and Additional Deputy Commissioner, Satakha, Athrila as the guest of honour. Exhorting the gathering, she appreciated the role they played in raising many leaders, officers and prominent people in the society. Quoting a passage from the bible, she pointed that love and understanding is the need of the hour for a brighter future. Let us humble ourselves before God and be an example of peace and harmony in the society, she added. She appreciated the men folk and village councils of the region for their support to the women and also congratulated the executive team for the success of the programme. The programme was chaired by President, Yimchungberu Arihako, Pungro Unit, Suzana Yimchunger. Alula Z. Thsanso delivered the presidential address, while Kaisa Akiu pronounced the vote of thanks. Speeches were delivered by the Guest of Honour, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Sathaka, Athrila and the President, Yimchunger Tribal Council, Keozih. Other highlights of the programme included folk song by Yimchungberu Arihako Shamator Town, and a play on ‘Human Trafficking’ by executive members Yimchunger Women Organization Shamator Unit and special number by Western Yimchunger Women Organization.
