Kohima, February 4 (MExN): The 46th Sports Meet of the Angami Sports Association will be held on February 15 and 16 at the Khuochiezie (Local Ground), Kohima. Retd. Chief Engineer, Nagaland, and former president Nagaland Wrestling Association, Er. Keneilhoulie Keditsu will be the guest of honour on the occasion.
15 wrestlers from the four units viz., Chakhroma Sports Association, Northern Angami Sports Association, Southern Angami Sports Association and Western Angami Sports Association, totalling to 60 wrestlers will vie in Naga Wrestling which will be held on February 15. The free style wrestling will be held on February 16, a press release from the association informed. Around 80 wrestlers will take part in free style wrestling. Besides, there will be free style wrestling for junior category below 17 years.
For Naga Wrestling, the champion will walk away with Rs. 1,50,000 while the first, second and third runners-up will receive Rs. 1,00,000, Rs. 70,000, and Rs. 50,000 respectively. All the quarterfinalists will be awarded Rs. 10,000 each.
The event will be managed by the Angami Christian Revival Youth Association.
