Phek, December 29 (MExN): The Sohomi Students’ Union held its 46th General Session under the theme “Students: Our real assets” at the Village Panchayat Hall in Sohomi under Phek District on December 28.
Guest Speaker on the occasion, Diwang Nusory, Agriculture Census Officer, called upon the students to be perseverant and hardworking, and acquire knowledge continuously so that they become real assets to society.
“The struggle you are making today is developing the strength you need tomorrow,” Nusory exhorted the students, urging them to be responsible enough to bring change in the village.
Sharing on the importance of education, the guest speaker advised the students to strive for quality education and not degree oriented one so as to fit oneself in any kind of works. He also encouraged the parents to invest in education of their children.
During the programme, meritorious students were also awarded.
