
Dimapur, November 22 (MExN): The leaders of 5 ACCCs and frontals has resolved to reaffirm their earlier position that, “until and unless the demand of the 5 ACCCs and Frontals are fulfilled, the 5 ACCCs and Frontals shall not cooperate to the NPCC directive and declared this directive as null and void.”
This was in connection to the directive served by Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) to complete the re-organization process of the party set up along with the ACCCs within 10 days to Dimapur District. It was resolved in an emergency meeting held, which was stated in a press release issued on behalf of the 5 ACCCs and Frontals by Lhokiye, Working President, I Dimapur 1, ACCC; Liberi, Vice President 3 Dimapur Ill ACCC; Alex Yepthomi, President 5 Ghaspani II ACCC; Akashe Yeptho, Vice President DYC; Asang Jamir, President 2 Dimapur II ACCC; Zhekheyi Swu, President 4 Ghaspani I ACCC and Mukhe Yimchunger, President DYC.
The 5 ACCCs and Frontals also cautioned that any new appointment that is made by the NPCC without following party constitution and procedure shall not be allowed to come to the office until the matter was resolved.
“Any individual who come to the office shall be at his/her own risk and the NPCC shall be held full responsibility of any eventual consequences,” it added.
It lamented that “now the voice of the grassroots party workers are being ignored time and again, violating party constitution without following any rulings and provisions of the party system running the party in an autocratic way like a dictator, shall not prosper or see any progress in near future.”
“Rather Kewekhape Therie should step down from NPCC presidentship on moral ground taking moral responsibility for the party’s poor performance owing to the loss of 2018 State general election and 17th Lok Sabha Parliamentary election 2019 respectively,’ it added.
The 5 ACCCs and frontals further citing the resignation of AICC leader Rahul Gandhi after the defeat of the 17th Lok Sabha election 2019 owing moral responsibility of the party’s poor performance, it maintained that K Therie should follow suit and pave way for the able successor to lead the party in the interest of the Congress party workers in Nagaland.
