Kidima, January 4 (MExN): The four-day long 52nd Annual Wrestling cum Sports Meet of Kidima Youth Organisation (KYO) commenced today at Kidima Village Local Ground in Kohima district. Altogether, 450 sportsperson from six khels of Kidima village will be competing in Naga style wrestling (men), games, race and athletic events for both men and women. Nagaland PWD Engineer-in-Chief, Khupi Natso graced the inaugural as the guest of honour and called on sportspersons to give their best to excel in their respective discipline. He also emphasized the need for sportsperson to renew their spirit to achieve greater heights. Earlier, Natso unfurled the KYO flag and took salute from the six khels’ marching contingents. KYO games & sports secretary Meyiesa Phinyo administered oath to the participants.
