Tuensang, February 4 (MExN): A volleyball tournament among the 53 federating units was held in the morning session of the ongoing Confederation of Chang Students' Union (CCSU) 57th General Session at Loyem Memorial Ground, Tuensang on February 4.
Almost 450 players took part in the event comprising of 34 men’s and 11 women teams.
Inside the ground, six volleyball courts were constructed where all the matches were played simultaneously, a CCSU release informed.
In both men and women's category Tuensang Village Students' Union (TVSU) emerged as the champions, it said.
In the men's category, TVSU defeated the Saoshou Student's Union in a tiebreaker while their counterpart defeated Chang Students' Union Tuensang Town.
The felicitation of the winners will be observed in the achievers' night programme, the release added.
