Advisor Temjenmenba and others with the 5th batch of trainees passed out from the Raymond Tailoring Training Center (RTTC), Kohima.

Kohima, June 27 (MExN): The 5th batch of trainees has passed out from the Raymond Tailoring Training Center (RTTC), Kohima. A joint initiative of the JK Trust, National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) and Technical Education Department, Nagaland, the RTTC was inaugurated in September 2022 with the objective of skilling the youth for working in the garments industry. JK Trust is a social initiative of the Raymond Group.
The passing out programme was held on June 27 at the RTTC, Government Polytechnic, Kohima, where the Advisor for Transport and Technical Education, Temjenmenba was a special guest. The event also witnessed the induction of the 6th batch of trainees.
According to the release, the Advisor acknowledged JK Trust's role in the skilling project. Given the employment scarcity prevalent in Nagaland, Temjenmenba acknowledged JK Trust's effort in alleviating this challenge by offering employment opportunities to the youth.
He highlighted the potential for growth and numerous opportunities outside Nagaland and stressed on hard work, discipline, and dedication, which would not only contribute to their training but also play a vital role in their overall performance and success.
To the trainees, who have completed the course, he said that the journey they were about to embark upon would be in unfamiliar territory. He said, “You’ll be going out to a completely new world, in a new atmosphere, in a new place with different working atmosphere. You’ll be away from your parents and family.” But he reminded that if they work with dedication, the people of Nagaland would appreciate their efforts. “Basically you are ambassadors of the state of Nagaland. When you perform well, you are paving the way for other trainees to come and work.”
He further urged them to be mindful of their actions, as their success would not only benefit themselves but also inspire their peers to join them in pursuing employment. While emphasizing the prospect of other companies/employers hiring them, he said that the objective extends beyond personal livelihoods, in the process proving the compatibility and capabilities of Naga youths.
Furthermore, he expressed confidence the footprints of the older batches would enable a smoother transition for the upcoming set of trainees.
