The Kohima District Rifle Association (KDRA) conducted 6th Open Air Rifle Shooting Tournament 2023 for both men and women at Pele Khezhie’s Indoor Stadium, D Khel Kohima village on April 15.
Gracing the inaugural function as the special guest, MLA Dr Tseilhoutuo (Ato) Rhutso thanked KDRA for making this open Air Rifle Shooting tournament as a yearly event.
He maintained that Nagas have inborn talent in shooting sports.
Rhutso subscribed that Naga youth have potential to shine not only in the national level but to the international platform too, provided they stick to proper and regular practice.
He also challenged the Naga youth to develop a strong sense of professionalism and excel in the field of shooting sports.
Earlier, the inaugural function was chaired by KDRA president Visasielie Suhu.
KDRA patron Pele Khezhie gave away prize to the winners at the closing function.
