DIMAPUR, JANUARY 29 (MExN): Whiskers CC and Dimapur Slammers entered the semifinals of the 6th Unity Cup on January 29.
In the first quarter final, Whiskers CC defeated Rising XI by 40 runs. Batting first, Whiskers CC scored 128 runs in 20 overs. Sonu of whiskers CC was the highest scorer with 19 runs. Chasing the target, Rising XI CC fell short of 40 runs and were bowled out for 89 runs in 17 overs.
Feroz was adjudged as man of the match for his 3 wickets haul and 12 runs knock.
The second quarter final match saw Dimapur Slammers CC beat Das Brothers by 75 runs. Dimapur Slammers went in to bat first and set a target of 175 runs in 20 overs. Mughavi of Dimapur Slammers CC was the highest scorer with 58 runs.
Das Brothers fell short of 75 runs and could score only 99 runs in 20 overs, losing 9 wickets. Mughavi was adjudged the man of the match for his 58 runs knock.
