At least seven coal mine workers were injured following a gas leak which caused a fire inside a coal mine at Naginimora in Mon district on Wednesday.
All the seven injured were admitted to Assam Medical College and Hospital (AMCH) in Dibrugarh in Assam, according to Mon Deputy Commissioner Thavaseelan K.
While details on the number of workers who were in the mine during the time of incident were unclear, citing AMCH authorities, the DC informed that no loss of life was reported so far. All the injured miners are from Assam.
