Minister for justice & law, environment, forest & climate change CM Chang recently launched a month-wise calendar of constitution and fundamental duties campaign, which will continue till November 26, 2020.
The month wise calendar was launched during the observance of 70th Constitution Day in Kohima on November 20 last.
In December 2019, the department of youth resources and sports will organize awareness walk, rallies and runs by citizen bodies, Nehru Yuva Kendra (NYK), National Service Scheme Group (NSS), Sports Academy.
• January 2020: Conducting Conference, talks, seminars. Special function on Fundamental Duties by Department of Parliamentary Affairs.
• February 2020: Pledge taking of the preamble in all educational institutions on the 1st day of institutional opening 2020/: Debates, quiz, seminar etc by Department of Higher Education
• March 2020: Pledge taking in all schools on the first day of school opening 2020/ Quiz Competition on fundamental duties in all schools by department of school education.
• April 2020: Cleanliness drives in all the Urban Local Bodies, extensive drive on plastic waste collection from the water bodies/ streams/nullahs/drains, etc. in the ULBs, free medical camp and sensitization for the sanitary workers in the ULBs, capacity building training for the Self- Help Groups under DAY-NULM by urban development and municipal affairs.
• May 2020: Seminar/Talks focus on Citizens duties by Nagaland State Legal Services Authority/BAR/District Administration by Department of justice & law & home department.
• June 2020: Activity on protection of environment, planting of fruit tree saplings by department of forest & entrepreneur associates.
• July 2020: Special tours/display of fundamental duties at tourist places, public awareness camp/conclave by NSLSA/BAR (districts Bar/GHC/Nagaland) by department of tourism and department of law & justice.
• August 2020: A workshop on the Fundamental Duties by Police Dept, seminars on const./ Fundamental duties by department of Home & Nagaland Voluntary Consumer Association.
• September 2020: Awareness with community in collaboration with the district administration & key stakeholders in all the district headquarters, visiting educational institutions, shelter homes for women etc. &creating awareness, disseminating IEC materials in local dialect of various services and programs for women by department of social welfare.
• October 2020: Special Gram Sabha coinciding with Rozgar Niwas: Talks, conferences, etc by Department if Rural Development.
• November 2020: Photo Exhibitions in the state capital and all District Headquarters, Talks/Street play by Law Colleges/ Nagaland Law Students Federation by Department of Information & Public Relations and Department of Justice & Law.
