DIMAPUR, DECEMBER 28 (MExN): The 74th annual sports meet of the Lazami Student Union (LSU) began on December 28 with Pfuche Koza, President, Khezhakenoma Welfare Society Kohima as the special guest.
Events like pole climbing competition, relay race, Ayekuli (Stone Game), Men’s volleyball, Spear Kicking and Ami Küküla (Traditional Fire making) are scheduled to be held in the meet which will go on till December 31.
In his speech, Koza narrated the phase of turmoil that Naga society has phased and urged all to bring inclusive change.
Short speeches were delivered by Tenyimia People’s Organization President, Timikha Koza where he cited the importance of brotherhood between Lazami and Khezhakenoma people. He added that the
Lazami Welfare Society President, Ngukato Tsuipu, where he stressed for unity and peace among the people of Lazami and Khezhakenoma.
The VCC of Khezhakenoma also gave a short speech and allocated the space for Lazami to build their own rest house in their Chida Post (tourist place). The VCC of Lazami, Saluvi Swu also spoke during the occasion.
