DIMAPUR, SEPTEMBER 26 (MExN): Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS) Medziphema advanced to the finals of the Higher Secondary section after defeating King David Higher Secondary School (KDHSS) in the first semi-final.
Both teams displayed intense competition, battling for control in midfield throughout the match. The breakthrough came in the second half when Wezote of GHSS scored with a powerful long-range shot that caught the KDHSS goalkeeper off guard. The match ended 1-0 in favor of GHSS.
In the second semi-final, SFS Higher Secondary School’s Team A triumphed over their counterparts, SFS Team B, in a one-sided match. Team A dominated from the start, with superior control in midfield and constant pressure on Team B’s defense. The relentless attacks led to two own goals by Team B. Hongingmang, Robinson, Kevisede, Seginhao, and Satpu added to the tally for Team A, while Paominlen and Mengulhoulie scored for Team B. The match concluded with a 7-2 victory for SFS-A.
The final match between GHSS Medziphema and SFS-A is set to take place on Saturday at 1:00 PM.
