Heralding the coming of Christmas, 90.8 Hills FM in collaboration with Prodigals Home and TaFMA organised an entertainment evening for the benefit of visually impaired children at Don Bosco Institute of Development and Leadership, Dimapur on November 25.

In her welcome address, Managing Director of Hills FM, Imali Hesso stated that the event is part of their commitment toward making positive contributions to the community.    As a fledgling media group who started their operations back in September 2022, Hills FM has already undertaken a noble venture to raise funds for a seven year old boy undergoing kidney transplant surgery, she said. In view of this success, “This year we thought of supporting the visually impaired children at Prodigals’ Home,” she added.

Radio Jockey, Gugu Haralu meanwhile noted that the purpose of the event was not profit making venture but meant to go toward the benefit of the children.

The concert/entertainment evening was able to draw in various groups from schools and established artists, including a special appearance by Nagamese singer, songwriter, Sunep Lemtur.

The other acts were Hope Academy Choir, Moatila Longchar from Shofar Music Academy, poetry reading by Kevi Kevichusa, Phulumli D & friends, Rokoseno Zhasa, Lhuzilu and Zuve from TaFMA School of Music and Art, Atsunglir Jamir and Friends, Lanukaba Lemtur, Lino K Awomi, Atuna Shikhu and Trionix Dance Studio.

“As we celebrate music let us remember the importance of inclusivity,” said Ashe H Kiba, General Secretary of Nagaland State Disability Forum (NSDF).
