Dimapur, February 16 (MExN): The 18th Chozuba ACCC General Secretary today asserted that former Home Minister, Thenucho has earned the title of “the most corrupt minister’, ‘The weakest Home Minister’ during his tenure as a minister in the DAN government.
Stating this in a press statement received here from the 18th Chozuba ACCC, General Secretary, Yota made a rejoinder to a news item issued “purportedly issued by Chivotso Nienu in some local dailies recently under the caption Thenucho not an outsider by contending constitutional provisions citing examples that ‘Vamuzo from 18th A/C Chozuba was elected in K.G. Kenyie’s place and confirmed Chief Ministership, Manmohan Singh, a Sadarji nominated to the Rajya Sabha from Assam and become the Prime Minster of India and goes on pouring advice”.
In this connection, Yato hoped that “Nienu isn’t advising the 18th Chozuba A/C people to once again vote for Thenucho with false promises that he becomes Chief Minister like Vamuzo or Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. Nienu will surely know better that it’s total absurdity to even think of such thing where those qualities are not endowed in him till today”.
The release pointed out that Nienu had cited a case of 1990, in that year K.G. Kenyie had resigned his seat for Vamuzo. “Of late today, Nienu should know that Chozuba Constituency people with reciprocation and it was 5 years ago, in the same way, in 2003 Thenucho was allowed into Chozuba A/C and he was voted to power for full term.”
“But to our utter dismay, he (Thenucho) had earned to them and to their reputed Constituency laurels like ‘The most corrupt minister’, ‘The weakest Home Minister’; different organizations asked him to step down/resign and so on bringing humiliations after humiliations to the populace of Chozuba A/C,” the release stated.
As a pseudo-regional man, Thenucho’s policy or manifesto is to promise huge money and cheat common voters, he has mastered the art of cheating, he prays and lavishly cheats, said the release. “He treats his supporters like beggars and purchasable commodities. His great confidence is that he can easily buy the voters with his looted money from LADP and whatever portfolios he held. He has a different character foreign and unknown to the people of Chozuba A/C. Yes, we also know the provision of Indian Constitution to its bonifide citizens, but this man is indeed, an outsider in the true sense of the term,” the release asserted.
In this regard, the release declared that “the anger of the electorates of Chozuba A/C has now come up to the brim of our neck that choked our throats soar, bitter and difficult to swallow”.
The release stated that the mistake committed in 2003 general elections made the people to deeply regret, however, the release stated that the mistake committed has made the people fully awake so as not to commit the mistake for the second time in the ensuing assembly election.
“Chivotso Nienu should know that Manmohan Singh has never earned titles like ‘The most corrupt Minister’ or ‘The weakest Minister’ for the very Assamese people he represents. So those Assamese people may not be so unhappy to vote for him for the 2nd term or more. But for us it is enough, however, Chozuba A/C people do not blindly blame Chivotso who is simple, innocent and swallow thinking young leader who still needs time to reach maturity,” the release added.
