
DIMAPUR, APRIL 25 (MExN): With the timely intervention of ANSTA, Wokha district, Kyong students’ union, NSF, ENSF and ANSTA Central, the two abducted teachers have been released. The Association in a press release issued by its President, Ponchulo wanth and Joint secretary Visato Koso, expressed its gratitude to all the aforesaid parties for taking the trouble for the safe release of the two teachers. While appreciating the various organisations, the Association also appealed to all the Naga political groups to acknowledge the contribution of teachers on human resource development/management and to desist from taking similar harsh steps in the future. This was stated so that a better understanding/ relationship may be developed between the teaching community and the national workers. The Association expressed hope for a conducive environment to be created for students to flourish into responsible citizens. It may be mentioned that two of the teachers serving as teacher-in-charge at GPS Hanku & GPS Niropen under Wokha had been allegedly abducted April 12 by NSCN IM cadres at gun-point for not paying yearly tax in time.
