ABPF appeals to hoist clean election flag in homes

Dimapur, September 17 (MExN): The Ao Baptist Church Diphupar (ABCD) hoisted ABAM Clean Election flag on September 10 in compliance with the resolution adopted by Ao Baptist Pastor’s Fellowship (ABPF) under Ao Baptist Arogo Mungdang (ABAM).

Considering that the present unpleasant condition of Nagaland is a reflection of corrupt election system, ABPF invited all the believers in Christ to participate in the Clean Election Campaign by accepting the flag and hoisting them at the roof top or in a proper place of their homes.

While stating that to uproot corruption may not be an easy mission from a human perspective, yet it expressed optimism that just as God gave Israelites the plan to bring down the wall of Jericho, clean election flag will be like a weapon to fight against injustice and corrupt election system in Nagaland.

To stand against crooked election system, it urged all believers to accept the weapon (flag) and hoist at their respective homes. ABPF was hopeful that the wall of corruptions through election will fall down soon like the wall of Jericho and the banner of peace and prosperity will be raised in the land.

Lipok Jamir, pastor ABCD, viewed that if the flag is raised in their homes, people will not come to bribe them with money or send corrupted money, give liquor, invite them to form small groups and ask money from the candidates.

With the State assembly election approaching, he appealed to all to accept the clean election flag as a symbol of pledge to fight against the crooked and corrupt election system in the land.
