Dimapur, September 15 (MExN): ACAUT Nagaland today condemned the Anti Corruption and Crime Investigation Front (ACCIF) headquartered at Purana Bazar, Dimapur, terming it a “bogus syndicate group.” In a press release from its Media Cell, ACAUT alleged that ACCIF has been harassing the business community in the East Dimapur area jurisdiction by demanding tax and donation. In some instances they have even threatened the business owners, it added.
In this connection, two persons were nabbed by the Dimapur Police, namely Longritemjen, ACCIF, vice chairman and Pradeep Sethi, advisor of ACCIF, ACAUT informed. Meanwhile, it noted, “The audacity of these people to go to any length to make money is just dumb founding especially when the whole of Nagaland populace is fed up with the menace of illegal taxation.”
The ACAUT Nagaland lauded the Dimapur Police for nabbing the kingpins of the group and further appealed to the police to nab the rest of the ACCIF members and all those involved at the earliest. It also appealed to the court to award the most stringent punishment as per the law.
