
Dimapur, August 24 (MExN): A number of organisations and village councils on Thursday expressed support to the proposed August 25 Public Rally called by ACAUT and in this regard have made appeals to the members and the general public for taking part in the rally.
Duncan Bosti Council
The Duncan Bosti Council extended support to ACAUT and has appealed to the Duncan youth and men and women to participate in the rally. Before proceeding to the rally, the Council in a press release requested all participants to assemble at the Council Hall by 2:30 pm. The Council further informed shops/business establishments under its jurisdiction to close down by 2:00 pm on the day of the rally.
Chakhro Angami Kuda Union
The Chakhro Angami Kuda Union (CAKU) requested all members under its jurisdiction to attend the ACAUT rally on August 25. The Union also asked office bearers of all its frontal organizations viz., Women, Youth and Student to mobilize its members to attend the rally. CAKU further requested all village council chairman and GBs as well as area and colony representatives under CAKU to inform its members as well as mobilize the Angamis for grant participation.
Chumukedima Area Village Council Association
The Chumukedima Area Village Council Association (CAVCA) has stated that it wholeheartedly supports the rally called by ACAUT. “CAVCA is of the opinion that corruption and social menace either by the state government or any other organization(s) has gone beyond tolerance. It’s time we say “enough is enough” and join hands to step towards a better tomorrow,” the association stated in a press release. CAVCA further requested all its constituent units comprising of 55 recognized villages to attend the said rally with all villagers (leaving aside only sick, old age and children) preferably in their traditional attire.
Business Association of Nagas
The Business Association of Nagas (BAN) has expressed support to the Public Rally called by ACAUT “to voice out against the pathetic state of affairs in Nagaland crippled with blatant corruption and decay in governance.”
Extending its appreciation to ACAUT Nagaland for “tirelessly working to end the corruption and injustice”, the association in a statement viewed that the practice of corruption in Nagaland is rampant and that it is affecting the business community is many ways.
BAN appealed to all its members to participate in this rally and support the fight against corruption.
East Dimapur Business Association
The East Dimapur Business Association (EDBA) has appealed to all right thinking citizens to support and attend the Public Rally called by ACAUT.
Exuding optimism, the EDBA stated that an end has come for corruption and for good to prevail and further called for complete solidarity so as to become a corruption-free state.
Western Chakhesang Youth Organization
The Western Chakhesang Youth Organization (WCYO) also expressed support for the Public Rally called by ACAUT and requested all its bona fide members to attend and show solidarity towards ACAUT.
ACAUT informs speakers
Dimapur, August 24 (MExN): ACAUT has requested all the speakers for the “All Nagaland Public Rally” to be held on August 25 to be gathered at Hotel Saramati by 2:00 pm for orientation. Most of the speakers, except the main speakers would be given 3-5 minutes speaking time and therefore, they are requested to prepare accordingly, a press release from the Media Cell, ACAUT Nagaland informed.
