ADC appeals for accurate census

Chiephobozou, February 20 (DIPR): A meeting relating to census was held at Chiephobozou on February 18. ADC Chiephobozou, Martha R. Ritse who chaired the meeting gave an introduction about the census operation. She appealed to all the members to bring out with an accurate and genuine census report and requested all the Chairman of Village Council, GBs, and NGOs to cooperate with the enumerators and supervisors without missing a single household. She also asked them to enroll all the handicap persons.
Executive Secretary and Community Monitor Vivi Nyuthe exhorted the area leaders’ on the need for correct census, pointing out that 2001 census was not fair enough. Member NGPS and Community Monitor Zeneivi Chasie also spoke regarding the census and reiterated the need for honest and accurate census. Nodal Officer Census Department led by Assistant Director Kewachu Semy participated in the interaction and clarified various issues and queries relating to the ongoing census operation. He also appealed to the people not to pressurize the enumerators and supervisors for manipulating the census. Later, the team of officials visited the old and new Tsemekhuma Bawe village.
