Dimapur, August 21 (MExN): After the recent JEE selection debacle where a minister placed his own nominees for MBBS seats they did not qualify for, the DAN government is now in the line of fire for allegedly sending its own nominees in the Prime Minister Rozgar Yojna (PMRY) Task Force Committee in favor of their own candidates when actually PMRY guidelines states that only two reputed NGOs are entitled to be in the selection committee.
“The so-called Prime Minister Rozgar Yojna is meant for those deserving educated unemployed youth irrespective of tribe, creed, kith and kin but it is utter surprise to observe that in the last conduct of PMRY interviews, the present Government (DAN) have sent their own nominees in favor of their candidates in the Task Force Committee which is a clear violation of PMRY guidelines where only two reputed NGOs are entitled to be in the said committee” a release from the Educated Unemployed Union Nagaland through its Press Secretary Ezanbemo Erui stated.
The EUUN out-rightly condemned the government’s action as well as “poorly” treating the unemployment problem in the state. “The EUUN cautions the ruling government not to twist the PMRY into politically-motivated Rozgar Yojna but instead refrain from such unceremonious policy as the EUUN shall not hesitate to take stringent steps to fight such deeds of irregularities in future” it warned.
