Kohima, Jan 4 (MExN): The Air Chief Marshall on the eve of New Year has greeted the members of IAF family. In his message to all the Air Warriors, the Air Chief Marshal SP Tyagi said that the year gone by has been remarkable in many respects where the IAF have enhanced their operational capabilities within the ambit of a safe flying environ. As the Nation grows and marches ahead, the IAF said Tyagi, should endeavour to measure up to the very high expectations placed on them by the countrymen.
While reminding that the fleet will see unprecedented modernization in the coming years, he said, “We are on the threshold of becoming a truly international lethal fighting Force. International exercises have proven our mettle time and again.”
“It is for us now to believe in ourselves and attain similar competency levels across the board” he further added. Projects like IMMOLS (Integrated Materials Management on Line System) and MAC (Modern Air Defence Ground Environment System Communication Network) will need to be exploited to the hilt to enable total net centricity said Tyagi. In IAF’s endevaour to becoming a formidable team, the IAF need to ensure that they continuously enhance the operational efficiency within the available resources said Tyagi and further expressed his confidence that whenever the Nation beckons, the IAF will rise to the occasion and vindicate the trust placed in them.
