AK Mishra lands in Dimapur

Dimapur | September 18

The role of former Intelligence Bureau sleuth AK Mishra in the political negotiations between the Government of India and the Naga Political Groups remained a mystery even as he arrived in Nagaland. Mishra, who is a retired IB Special Director, landed in the afternoon in Dimapur today.

Mishra declined to take questions from journalists before being whisked away by security personnel.

His arrival coincided with the General Secretary of the NSCN (IM) Th Muivah moving out from Hebron reportedly to meet Mishra somewhere in Dimapur.

The meeting, though not officially admitted by both sides, is scheduled on September 20, as per reliable sources.

After relations soured between former Nagaland Governor RN Ravi and the NSCN (IM) leadership, Mishra represented the GoI in the talks following the contested October 31, 2019 deadline.
