Appeals to Chief Minister to resolve problems at earliest
Mokokchung, August 13 (MExN): The Ao Students’ Conference (AKM), as an apex student body of the Aos, has endorsed “unflinchingly support” to the charter of demands submitted by the All Nagaland College Students’ Union (ANCSU) to the State government on August 10.
“AKM would also like to place on the record that the Memorandum submitted by ANCSU is deemed as genuine grievances faced by the student community for a sound academic career,” stated a press release from Nekmi Longkumer, AKM information Secretary.
It further expressed shock that the State government is yet to initiate positive gestures to solve the grievances in regards to transparency in implementing scholarship schemes and free from land encroachment of college campuses.
Expressing concern for the college students boycotting their classes across the State in response to the call made by ANCSU, AKM stated that “missing classes for days is a huge loss for the future of students.”
Therefore, the students’ body appealed to the office of Chief Minister to understand the magnitude of grievances faced by the students and to resolve the problems at the earliest so that students can resume their regular classes without hampering their career further.
