Morung Express News Dimapur | March 16 Ace Indian India shuttler PV Sindhu today sealed her place in the semifinal of the All England Open Badminton Championship with a thrilling win over Japan’s Nozomi Okuhara. A closely contested battle, Sindhu came back from a game down to beat Okuhara 20-22, 21-18, 21-18 in a 84-minute quarter-final to advance into her maiden semi-final appearance at the All England Open. In a remarkable comeback, Sindhu lost the first set 20-22, and was by three and four points during the third game. However, she managed to hold her nerve and beat her Japanese counterpart 21-18 to in the third set. It was a hard-earned revenge for Olympic silver medalist Sindhu who lost to seventh seeded Okuhara after a epic battle clocking 110 minutes, in the final of the World Badminton Championships 2017 at Glasgow, in August last year.
