Kohima, March 25 (MExN): The Crescent Club, Kohima will be organizing an All Nagaland Men’s Doubles Open and Veteran Championship 2017 from April 20 to 22 at the Badminton Stadium, P R Hill. Established in 2014, the Crescent club is a Badminton Exclusive Club to promote the sport of Badminton in Nagaland. Themed ‘Step up the Challenge’, the tournament comprises of four categories: 1. Open Category (40k –Champion: 20 K -1st Runners up: 10k each –Semifinalists) 2. 30 years + (20k- Champion: 10k- 1st Runners up) 3. 40 yrs + (20k- Champion: 10k- 1st Runners up) 4. 50 yrs +(20k- Champion: 10k- 1st Runners up) The entry fee for each team is Rs. 2000, per category. The main aim for organizing the tournament is to encourage the younger generation to take up sports to adopt a healthy lifestyle.
